Funded program eligibility

  • All prospective students must not have completed a QLD funded program and are eligible for once only QLD funded program enrolment.

  • Certificate 3 Guarantee Program completion increases your skills if you have not completed, or currently completing a Certificate III qualification or higher (not including completed at school and foundation skills training), to move into employment; re-entering the workforce, or career advancement. Refer to: eligibility check, FAQs, Fact Sheet or disadvantaged learners fact sheet.

  • Certificate 3 Guarantee Boost Program provides funding for training opportunities for eligible jobseekers to help secure local jobs and may include ‘second chance’ training for jobseekers and workers with a Certificate III qualification or higher, at risk of unemployment needing new or updated skills to gain, change or retain employment and keep pace with a changing Queensland economy. Refer to: Eligibility check and complete online referral application form. Prospective students must provide written approval from a TAFE Jobseeker Officer to confirm program enrolment eligibility.

 

Funded program student criteria:

  • QLD residents (aged 15 years+) no longer at school (exception of VET in Schools students)

  • Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (incl. humanitarian entrants); or temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.

Note: Candidates must be over 18 years of age; meet QLD security licence criteria and conditions. Completion of the Certificate 3 Guarantee Induction Form confirming access to the Handbook and (linked) eligibility and conditions information is required, with hardcopy versions available during the pre-enrolment process to clarify any concerns or queries. If extra training support is identified in the program pre-enrolment process, access to reading, writing and maths (Foundation Skills) assistance is available from the Certificate 3 Guarantee program prior to commencing .  

Funded program co-contribution fee formula & criteria

Students contribute to the cost of their training through a co-contribution fee which covers any enrolment charges, tuition fees, services fees, material fees and all other costs associated with delivery, and may be paid by the student or on their behalf by an employer or another third party.  

Co-contribution fee eligibility:

Students (or their partner or guardian) who hold a Helth Care or Pensioner Concession Card; Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students; 

Aboriginal 

 

  • students (or their partner or guardian) who hold a Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card;

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students;

  • school students enrolled in a VETiS program;

  • students with a disability; or

  • students who are adult prisoners

Co-contribution fee formula: CPP30411 CIII in Security Operations (14 units) @ $3.60 each  CPP30607 CIII in Investigative Services (15 units) @ $3.30 each

Our qualified security trainers share their own security career experiences to engage, support and empower program participation aligning to ASQA Standards for RTOS 2015 and QLD PQS audit evidence (v5.1Aug18) compliance standards.

  1. CPP20212 CII in Security Operations Statement of Attainment (SoA);
  2. HLTAID001 Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment SoA;
  3. HLTAID003 Provide CPR Statement of Attainment SoA;
  4. CPP30411 CIII in Security Operations Program
  5. SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) SoA for security crowd controllers in liquor licenced premises or venues, if not already completed.
